The State of Washington, USA swore in a Nigerian man, identified as Edirin Okoloko on Saturday, October 20th (yesterday), weeks after his appointment by governor, Jay Inslee governor of Washington.
Gov. Jay Inslee appointed the 13-year veteran of the county’s prosecutor’s office to replace retiring Judge George Bowden.
Okoloko was born in Nigeria, and received law degrees at the University of Benin and the Seattle University School of Law, according to the governor’s office. He served as a law clerk for former Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Michael Downes, who retired this year.
